Information on the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and other types of Powers of Attorney, administration of a deceased person's estate and the creation and administration of Trusts.
We are experienced in administering a deceased person’s estate under the terms of that person’s will or intestacy whether of a straightforward nature or of a more complex nature which involves the implementation of any trust created by the will or the intestacy.
We assist in the clearing and sorting of a deceased’s belongings, the valuation of the deceased’s assets and liabilities and the assessment and payment of any Inheritance Tax. We then arrange the distribution of the estate in accordance the terms of the will or intestacy after giving advice regarding any potential claims against the estate.
We also offer assistance not only on the creation of life time Trusts and their administration and management but also on the interpretation of existing trusts including advising on the trustees obligations and responsibilities in respect of the trusts objectives.
Hansell Wilkes & Co are experienced in giving advice concerning the drafting of wills, including giving Inheritance Tax advice; see the page on Wills for more information.
