Richard Wilkes, Principal, Solicitor

Richard qualified in London in 1973 and joined John Hansell in 1988 as Principal to this firm. Having worked extensively in London's legal circles in the early days, Richard now focuses on non-contentious issues such as conveyancing, trusts, probate, and commercial property. Richard is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Philip Carpanini, Consultant Solicitor

Philip's legal career clearly demonstrates his ability in dealing with both contentious matters and non contentious matters at the very highest level. Whilst practicing he obtained a Masters Degree in Commercial Law and became a partner in two of the largest practices in the South West . Philip is comfortable with most areas of Law from dealing with high value commercial matters, commercial disputes, residential conveyancing, to civil disputes. Philip is also a trained mediator and is always happy to discuss matters in advance of being instructed.

Chris Malley, Solicitor

Chris has extensive experience in Probate and Deceased's Estates as well as in Property Matters generally gained in the south east before retiring to South Devon. He will be pleased to advise and take instructions on matters you need assistance with, He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Arbitrators since 1998 and was called to the Bermuda Bar as a Barrister and Attorney in 1991.

Helen Baker, Qualified Paralegal

Helen specialises in residential conveyancing. Helen made the move from London to Dartmouth in 1994. She is passionate about the place where she lives and works. Helen joined Hansell Wilkes in 1998 and has developed with the firm to become an experienced residential conveyancer with an established and loyal client base. Helen deals mostly with local properties but works on a national basis with Clients buying out of the area, or returning Clients who appreciate a quality conveyancing service.

Angela Olliver,Consultant Costs Clerk

Angela joined Hansell Wilkes in 1988 and retired from full time employment in 2010.. She trained as a Law Costs Draftsman in 1998/9 and currently assists the workflow with costs drafting for the Firm on both civil and legal aid matters.
